Get Spooky With Hero Lifestyle Dies
Hey everyone. It's Dana here with you today. I made a super cute Halloween card using the Hero Lifestyle Form Fancy Dies and Hero Lifestyle Trick or Treat Dies. The Hero Lifestyle dies are so much fun to play with as you can customize each die cut. So let's get into the card.
To begin the card, I started with the background. Using a piece of Dove White cardstock trimmed to 4.00 x 5.25 inches, I first taped off the bottom portion of the card to keep it clean for my ground area. Next I grabbed Navy and Grape Juice inks to create my background. Using the Hero Arts Blending Brushes made it easy to cover this large panel.
While I was sponging on the color, I made sure to leave a little white area to suggest that the moon may have been sitting in the background. Once the panel was fully covered I heat set it with my heat gun. Now it was time to work on the bottom portion of the card.
Using the Graveyard HeroScape, I stamped out the grassy fall area with Hero Soft Brown and Cup O' Joe inks. I didn't want the grass area to be green as I'm thinking she's in a colder climate. Now if she was in Florida, that grass would be mega green year long. LOL
Working back to my sentiment, I used the Happy Halloween message from the Graveyard HeroScape and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. For a bit of shimmery white sparkle, I added the Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer Spray.
For my little trick or treater, I die cut all the pieces using the following cardstock from Hero Arts: Pitch Black, Cherry, Pumpkin and Dove White. Grabbing my Copic markers, I colored in the body portion of the die cut and stamped the facial features in Intense Black Ink. I also used an orange Copic marker to add some texture to her hair. All that was left was to glue all the pieces together using my Hero Arts Precision Glue XL.
The background panel was adhered to a Dove White Side Folded Card and the little trick or treater was adhered to the colorful background. This was such a fun card to make and I hoped I have inspired you to create with the Hero Lifestyle dies.
Have a great day everyone and I'll see you back here in another post soon.

Very cute card. I like the scene you created and didn’t make the ground green. I personally struggle with paper dolls. Not a preference of mine but definitely perfect for Halloween and consumes. Thank you for the inspiration.
