Video: Friendship Card using Ombré Inking & Window Die-cutting
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that I’m a mom of two fur babies. So I had to play with these cute cat images included in the Purr stamp set from 2017 Spring Catalog.
My inspiration came from my own card that I made last August using circles window frame. This time I created a window panel by die-cutting four rectangles using Nesting Rectangle Dies and popped it up on the card front using 3D foam tape.
For the inked background behind the window panel, I used the following ombré ink pads: Neon Yellow to Orange, Butter Bar to Orange Soda, Neon Red to Purple, and Mint Julep to Emerald Green.
As you noticed, I only colored my cat images partially using alcohol markers so I can highlight the inked background better.
For the sentiment, I die cut hello four times out of black cardstock using the Hello Stamp & Cut and adhered it on the card front using black foam dots.
Just a reminder! 2017 Catalog products, including CM131 Purr and DI366 Purr Frame Cuts, are now shipping to retail stores and will be available in the Hero Arts store on February 14.
I made a video tutorial showing you how I created my card from start to finish. I’m also sharing something special at the end of video you won’t want miss.
