Flower Garden with Thanks Message

Hi, Friends! It's Caly and I'm here to share a simple watercolor card with you using the Flower Garden Bold Prints stamp and the Thanks Message Fancy Die.

To create my card, I stamped the Flower Garden Bold Prints stamp on some Bristol Smooth cardstock using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. I simply watercolored the images using Arteza Watercolor Brush Pens (very similar to Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens).

After coloring, I trimmed my panel to an A2-sized card front and decided to mat it with a piece of vellum to soften the colors a bit. I then die-cut the word Thanks twice using black cardstock and adhered them together for some extra dimension.

I glued the word to some white cardstock and fussy cut around the letters to create a halo for the word. The sentiment strip is stamped with the Thanks Stamp & Cut set on black cardstock and embossed with white detail embossing powder.  Both the die cut word and sentiment strip are adhered over the vellum using foam adhesive, then adhered to the watercolored panel using Precision Glue.

I hope you enjoyed this card and am so glad you've stopped by today. Have a wonderful day!

Your card inspired me to purchase the Flower Garden stamp. It’s beautiful! Any hints on how you did such precise cutting for the halo?

Very cool card Caly! I really like that you used the Vintage Sepia ink for the Flower Garden Bold Prints on the background, it looks awesome with the pinks and greens of the flowers and leaves. Thanks for sharing this and for the always fabulous inspiration. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
