Fingerpainted Clouds
Hi friends! Lydia here today with a card design tip - FINGERPAINT!
My friend Jeanne told me to just fingerpaint clouds with white acrylic paint several years ago, and I was a changed woman - it's so easy to get wispy, sweet, partially transparent clouds with your built in paintbrushes that I rarely do them any other way. I used acrylic paint to paint a sky first, and then just dipped my finger in white paint, and using a circular motion, created cloud shapes! As you run out of paint, the clouds will become wispier and more transparent and natural looking.
Next, I used my Circle Infinity Dies to cut a piece of white cardstock that would span my card front. I colored that with a few warm brown alcohol markers and added some grass at the bottom.
This was the little piece of earth my adorable frog from Hoppy Day is relaxing on, watching the clouds go by. It's such a serene and cute image, and I finished it with the sentiment from Hoppy Day as well.
I hope you try some fingerpainted clouds soon!

This is a great idea and saves buying a stencil and ink to make clouds. Also, how many of us have all that acrylic paint in their stash? Thanks for sharing this and loved how the clouds looked.
