February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

We are back with one more look at the February My Monthly Hero release! The kit and add-ons will be available on Monday, February 5th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join May, who is sharing another look at this fabulous kit...

It's May here with another inspiration for you using the February My Monthly Hero Kit. For today's project, I used one of my favorite techniques which is the stamped background.

I started by stamping a few different types of bird images from the stamp set included in the main kit on an A2 size white card base. Then I filled in the gaps using small images.

FYI, here is the list of ink colors I used for my stamping: Stone Wash, Lime Green, Soft Apricot, Wet Cement

After my stamping is done, I added some dots using the fine tip of my alcohol markers to add some interest to the stamped background. Next, I drew four black lines along the edges of the card front to form a rectangle frame.

For my sentiment, I die cut "YOU" out of black cardstock using the Luggage Tag Alphabet Frame Cuts and adhered the die-cut letters on the card front using black foam tape. Then I white embossed the sentiment from the Come Fly With Me add-on stamp set which will be released tomorrow morning.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, February 5th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

That's all for today. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Happy crafting!
