February My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!
Hello and welcome! We are back with our final Countdown post before launching our February My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons tomorrow, Monday, February 6th at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning before the kit launches, so remember to comment on each and every Countdown post! Now join Jayne as she shares a few, colorful cards using stamps and dies from this month’s kit and add-on items!
I have several cards to share today as I was overwhelmed with the contents of this month’s My Monthly Hero kit! There are so many wonderful weather-inspired items, as well as equally delightful add-on items, I simply couldn’t resist making a few cards.
Using the kit’s window die (yes!), I created a white window shaped card. I inked another panel of cardstock with blue and purple distress inks and then, after cutting window panes with the window die, I inserted each inked pane into the window frame.
I added a collection of cute, colored images that I created with stamps and dies from this month’s kit. I also inked a piece of cardstock with Soft Sky ink and then used one of the kit’s other dies to cut the gentle hill. I finished the card with a perfectly-sized sentiment from the add-on set, CM152 Fun in the Rain.
For my next card, I used the stencil included in this month’s kit – yep, a stencil! How cool is that? I love using stencils on my cards, so I tried this one immediately! Using Soft Sky, Stone Wash, Passion Flower, Bubble Gum, and Butter Bar inks, I stenciled and masked a row of clouds and raindrops across a panel of white cardstock.
Using one of the kit’s cloud dies, I also cut three clouds from the stenciled images. I finished the card with a single umbrella and a sentiment from the CM152 Fun in the Rain set. There are also matching dies available for this add-on set.
For my last card, and perhaps my favorite, I made a shaped card with the new DI367 Nesting Clouds Infinity Dies! They are incredible! After creating a cloud card base, I used the kit’s stencil to create a colorful, boot pattern across a white cloud.
Then, I stamped and colored an adorable piglet in boots from CM152 Fun in the Rain and secured it to my card over a pair of vellum, die cut clouds. I finished the card with a cloud shaped sentiment and a small sun.
Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, February 6th, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for more inspiration when the kit is launched!
