Fabulous Floral Tags with Reactive Glitz Inks

Natasha Vacca

Hello Crafty friends, it is Creative Team Member Natasha Vacca on the blog today! Today I am sharing 2 tags using the May Stamp and Cut of the Month!  I had a lot of fun using Reactive Glitz Inks to create the backgrounds, as well as color the flowers! Let's get started!

I started with a piece of Hot Press watercolor paper from my stash. I created an ink smooshed background for the tag base. On the tags I used Hero Hues Reactive Glitz in: Byzantine Green, Naples Yellow, and French Pink. I started with one color at a time. I smoosh the ink directly onto my work surface, spritz the ink with water, move it around with my finger, then smoosh the paper directly into the ink. I dry the panel with my heat tool, add water droplets, and pick up color with a paper towel. I repeat this process with all the colors, until I have the texture I am looking for. Once the background was complete, I die cut 2 tags using the Nesting Tag dies. I set these aside.

Next I created a couple more ink smooshed backgrounds using Reactive Glitz Inks in: French Pink, Spanish Orange, and Naples Yellow. I followed the same process as I shared above. Once I had the color and texture I was looking for, I stamped floral images from the May Stamp and Cut of the Month using Intensified Black ink and die cut the florals using the coordinating dies.

Next I inked the edges of my tags using Core Inks in: Azalea and Pitch Black Ink. I then adhered the florals onto each tag using a combination of foam tape and liquid glue.  I added splatters to each tag using White Acrylic Spray, as well as Gold Hero Pearls. I added twine to the top of each tag, as well as a sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments set. I also added a piece of cheesecloth to each tag.

I had a lot of fun with today's project! I hope this inspires you to create a colorful tag using your floral stamps!

Have a great day!
