Emboss Resist With Watercolor
Hello there, Michelle here and today I have a really simple card to share with you using the Come Fly With Me stamp set, that was released as an add-on with the February My Monthly Hero Kit. It is such a beautiful set!
I started off by taking a piece of Handmade Watercolor Paper and die cut this using the third largest of the Rectangle Infinity Dies. I took the dandelion image, as well as one of the sentiments and stamped these on to the panel using Versamark Ink. I extended the stalk of the dandelion slightly with a Versamark Pen and then applied white embossing powder and heat set.
Using a Nesting Circle Infinity Die as a guide, I drew a faint pencil line around the images and then wet inside this with clean water and a paint brush. I then added colour to this with the Moonglow paint from the Watercolor Dot Palette. I tried to add darker colour to the bottom left and lighter colour to the top right. This paint has red, blue and grey pigments in it and it is very granulating, so it creates some wonderful textures on the paper. This makes it is little difficult to photograph, but it is so pretty in real life! The pencil line was erased and then the panel was simply adhered to a white 5" x 3.75" card base. I had planned on adding it to an A2 card base, but really liked the simplicity of it being one layer.
Thank you so much for popping by today, happy stamping!

Hi Mary, thank you for your kind comment. The brush I am using is a quill, otherwise known as a mop. The size is 10/0 and it is by Jacksons Art. I have the direct link over on my blog, of you are interested. My blog is linked in the sidebar of this blog :) Thank you!
