Elegant Watercolored Apples with Guest Artist Joy Baldwin

We’re thrilled to welcome a special guest to the blog today—Joy Baldwin! She’s sharing stunning watercolored masterpiece using the Apple Branch Stamp & Cut from the new I Pick You collection. Take it away, Joy!
Hi, it's Joy and I'm so excited to be a guest on the Hero Arts blog.
Today I'm sharing a card created with the Apple Branch Stamp & Cut as the focal point.
I colored the branch with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, which gave the apples and leaves a soft, natural look. For the background, I used the Spellbinders Notched Frame Corner Dies to create a framed effect and blended the center in a soft ombré.
To bring in extra detail, I stamped the flowers from the set onto the frame and heat embossed them in Gold Embossing Powder—a small step that makes a big impact. For more texture and shine, I added Gilded Foundry Wax as splatters across the background and brushed it onto the edges of the apples, leaves, and flowers. A gold heat embossed sentiment finished the design, pulling everything together with a cohesive, elegant touch.
A huge thanks to Joy for sharing this stunning card!
How would you color the apples? We’d love to hear what your favorite coloring medium is and what variety of apple you would choose to mimic.
Thanks for stopping by today!
