Supplies

Instructions

  1. To create the patchwork bag, die cut three sets of three squares using the three square dies from the Totes the Best Stamp & Cut set out of Tutu, Poppy, Carrot, Beeswax and Peridot cardstocks.
  2. Adhere the squares to a scrap of white or Alabaster cardstock in a 6 x 5 grid and a 3 x 3 grid.
  3. Die cut the panel with the adhered squares with the tote bag base die and the pocket die from the Tote Bag Die Set.
  4. Die cut 2 bottom trims, a tote bag base, a top trim and a handle out of Alabaster cardstock.
  5. Die cut a bag tag out of Tutu cardstock.
  6. Adhere the top trim to the patchwork bag base. Then adhere the one of the bottom trim diecuts, the handle, pocket and tag to the tote bag diecut.
  7. Stamp a strawberry, cherry, flower and lemon charm as well as a hook/clip from the Tiny Treasures Stamp & Cut set in INTENS-ified Black onto an A2 panel of Alabaster cardstock.
  8. Color the images in with copic markers.
  9. Stamp the "Totes love you" and "It's what's inside that counts" sentiments from the Totes the Best Stamp & Cut onto the same panel of Alabaster cardstock in INTENS-ified Black Ink.
  10. Die cut the images and the sentiments out with the coordinating dies.
  11. Die cut a set of blank (unstamped) diecuts of the hook/clip, strawberry, cherries, flower, lemon and "Totes love you" sentiment out of Alabaster cardstock.
  12. Adhere the blank diecuts to 8" piece of yellow twine. Then adhere the stamped corresponding diecuts over the blank diecuts, sandwiching the twine between the two diecuts.
  13. Adhere the end of the twine to the to the bottom of the Alabaster tote bag die cut.
  14. Adhere the remaining bottom trim diecut over the end of the twine.
  15. Add foam adhesive to the sides of the tote bag.
  16. Spiral the twine with the charms between the foam adhesive strips. Remove the backing on the foam adhesive and adhere the patchwork tote bag to the foam tape.
  17. Adhere the "It's what's inside that counts" sentiment to the front of the bag with foam adhesive.
  18. Die cut an A2 panel of Rainforest cardstock with the second largest die from the Rounded Rectangle Infinity Die set.
  19. Adhere the rounded rectangle panel to an A2 panel of Peridot cardstock. Adhere the stacked panels to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.
  20. Adhere the tote bag to the card front with liquid glue.
