December My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway!
Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the December My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, December 3rd at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We will be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as the new optional add-on products that will also be available on Monday. Stay tuned for more inspiration all weekend long! Now let's join Jess for another look at this magical kit!
As you've probably learned I am a sucker for cute furry critters and I fell hard for the adorable mouse in the kit! I combined him with some liquid watercolors and sparkles to create this dreamy card!
To start I stamped the mouse, dandelion seeds, and daisy onto watercolor paper with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I watercolored the images with liquid watercolors before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies included in the kit. I used pink, white, and black for the mouse; dandelion, mulled wine, and purple for the flower; and dandelion and leaf for the dandelion puff. I stamped the sentiment from the kit onto black cardstock with Versamark, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, and trimmed it down to a thin label.
Next I stamped the dandelions onto the shimmery pink cardstock included in the kit with Versamark and heat-embossed them with black sparkle embossing powder (I told you I was going for lots of sparkle)! I trimmed the pink cardstock down and adhered it to a black card base and added the sentiment. Then I used foam mounting tape to adhere my daisy and mouse and regular adhesive for the dandelion seeds. Finally I added bits of clear lacquer to the dandelions and daisy and sprinkled it with snowfall glitter for even more sparkle!

i love wher you put the sparkles. myone of favorite folower is daisy very humble flower, no flesh color or smell but wears the vibrant smile everywhere. You used just ferfect ampunt of sparkles to move he rup to her pedestal, as if you put princess her forgotten tiera which she derserve rom the biginning. what a happy card!!

Love your card! It is so beautifully coloured and (can’t really believe I’m saying this) that little mouse is so adorable sitting on the that gorgeous daisy making dandelion wishes. I love dandelions and the images of them I’ve seen so far are amazing and have captured their whimsicalness perfectly. It’s looking to be a spectacular kit. Can’t wait for the full reveal!
