An Invitation to Visit with the Signpost Stamp & Cut XL

Dec 09, 2021 Daniel West

Hello there, my friends! Daniel, here, with a great individualized invitation to come visit, featuring the new Signpost Stamp & Cut XL. I have also used some great scenery images from the A Warm Welcome and Wherever You Go stamp sets.

To begin, I stamped out the scene with the mountain, buildings, and trees, with Intense Black Ink, onto some Dove White Cardstock.

Then, I added some hills and a highway with a Copic Multiliner Pen.

After that, I chose a palette of Copic markers - E07, E04, E02, G85, G82, BV29, C9, C7, C6, C4 and C2. Then, I colored in the scene, lightening the colors in the background and darkening them a bit in the fore.

Next, I added a white dashed line down the road with a gel pen. Then, I cut out the scene with scissors and adhered it to the front of an A2-sized card base of Dove White cardstock with Precision Glue.

Then, I die cut some Dove White and Pitch Black cardstock with the Signpost Stamp & Cut XL dies. I colored in the signpost with the BV29, C9, C7 and C4 markers, leaving the right side of the post lighter than the left.

Next, I stacked the colored signposts over two black signposts with Precision Glue and adhered it to the front of the card.

After that, I stamped the sentiment, "COME VISIT", from the Signpost Stamp & Cut XL, onto one of the sign boards die cuts with Embossing and Watermark Clear Ink and melted Gold Embossing Powder over it with my heat tool.

To finish off the card, I adhered the sign board to the front of the card under the signpost arm with Precision Glue and called it done!

The whole scene reminds me of a beautiful place in Utah or Arizona! I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did. It makes me happy to think of someone coming to visit and even better, someone inviting me to come to the mountains!

I have linked the supplies I used throughout this post and you can find a handy grid of them below.

Thank you for joining me. I hope you have a wonderful day!

What a great card, Daniel! I love the “come visit” sign. Friends of ours from Loveland, CO have been after my husband and me for years to come and visit. I feel like this is a sign. Get it?! 🤣
Lovely card!! Great work!

Daniel, your cards are always so creative and inspirational, and oftentimes so funny. Absolutely love this card.

It’s a very cute card. I love the little details like the bench under the trees.

Even though Park City and Bisbee have more buildings in their downtowns, this card does remind me of the quiet beauty of those places and how they look driving at dust.
