Cozy Winter Cabinet Door Scene
Looking for some last minute holiday card inspiration? Today I've created a fun interactive card featuring the Cabinet Door Fancy Die. The doors open to a sweet snowy scene that will be sure to make the recipient smile. You could use this same die and create a scene for any season throughout the year!
Here is what the card looks like when closed...
And then it opens to this....
First, I diecut the Snowflake Confetti Fancy Die from Dove White cardstock and then backed it with a piece of Arctic cardstock. Next, I die cut the Cabinet Doors and adhered them to the snowflake panel. To do this, I left an extra 1/2" on the outside of each door panel that I scored and folded. I applied adhesive to the extra portion and folded it around the backside of the snowflake panel.
Then I diecut the house using the Nesting House Infinity Dies and Nautical cardstock. I colored a piece of vellum with a yellow permanent marker and adhered it to the backside of the house to create the look of lights inside the house.
The Color Layering Nordic Tree Frame Cuts die was the perfect place to stamp a message from the May You Home Be Filled With Joy stamp set. The messages in this set are perfect for neighbors or close friends and are a great complement to the cozy house scene I've created.
I added some "snow" to the roof of the house and the tree using white Nuvo Crystal Drops. And once that was dry, I adhered the house and tree to the card. I attached this entire panel to a Dove White Top Folding Card so I could still have room to write a personal message inside.
Have a happy weekend!

Love cards with homes on, but what a stunning idea to put a lattice double door on the front. Love the way the snowflakes have been done too x

I love this one but wish you had done a video to show us how you made it. Have added the Cabinet Door die to my wish list.
