Clean and Simple Ink-Blended Christmas Shaker
Good morning! Jess here with a clean and simple ink-blended Christmas shaker! As we're headed into Christmas card crunch time, I thought I'd share a way to quickly create an interactive card!
I started by blending Soft Pink, Stone Wash, and Navy ink onto Hero Hues Dove White cardstock with a blending brush. I kept my hand light for a soft background. I let it dry completely and then stamped a few silhouette images from Snowy Town with Embossing & Watermark ink and heat-embossed it with Black Embossing Powder.
Next I die-cut the Rolling Hills Window Die from an A2 panel of Hero Hues Dove White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Snowy Town with Embossing & Watermark ink and heat-embossed it with Black Embossing Powder. Next I adhered a piece of acetate behind the window and then added a double layer of foam mounting tape around the opening. I filled it with clear confetti and sparkly beads and then sealed it with the blended panel. I really love creating shaker cards but you could keep it even simpler and skip the shaker part if you're short on time! ;) You could also just die-cut a window with the Nesting Circle Infinity dies or the Paper Layering Window Shutters die to change up the design a bit!
And that's it! Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful rest of your week!
We expect the Rolling Hills Window Die will be back in stock in the next few days. Want to be notified automatically as soon as it returns? Just enter your email address on the product page!
