For the Love of Stamping

Hero Arts

Hello friends,

You may have heard that Ellison, the parent company of Sizzix, has made claims of patent infringement against a number of companies in our industry, including Hero Arts.

Just so you know, there is absolutely no reason to change any purchasing patterns with Hero Arts, as Hero Arts does not infringe, believes the lawsuit is without merit, and intends to fight this lawsuit and win for the good of Hero Arts and the industry. Whether we like it or not, the legal process is a method to resolve disputes, and we must let that play out.

There is no reason to allow a chill on creativity or a disruption to business to creep into our beloved industry despite the current situation. In fact, let's work to do just the opposite and rally together to make our community even stronger. Hero Arts and the other companies involved remain the same creative, reliable, top selling brands you trust and love.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask us at info@heroarts.com or leave a comment.

Yours in creativity,

I love your products and definitely will continue shopping with you. Sorry you are having to go through this.

I believe Sizzix/Ellison has just lost far more revenue than they can ever hope to gain by this lawsuit. They have something to learn from The Stamping Village.

After receiving this email, I did due diligence looking up the background. I was shocked & very, very disappointed in Ellison & this law suit. I agree that it is without merit. One of the extraordinary omissions in those NOT charged was Spelllbinders considering that they have produced nested dies forever & nested dies are part of the patent claim. This has all the earmarks of an assault on companies who primarily manufacture stamps in order to force them to use Sizzix as the die manufacturer. I also posted a polite comment on this law suit on the latest YouTube on the Sizzix channel. I hope it gains notice & traction on this subject.

This is bad for you & the industry as a whole. I wish you well & every success.

Patent infringement is counter to the philosophy and mission of Hero Arts. I believe in Hero Arts and believe the false accusations will be dismissed as such. I’m sorry you and other stamp companies need to spend the funds to fight the accusations. Your loyal customers will always support you!
