Bright Bee-day
I’m not gonna lie people, I usually avoid using stencils. I’m not sure if it’s a of out-of-sight, out-of-mind thing, or the fact they just intimidate the heck out of me, or maybe a combination, but the fact stands – I don’t use stencils much.
However, when I started playing around with the Busy As A set, I just knew the Honeycomb stencil would be the perfect backdrop for this card.
I decided to keep it simple and blend a background quickly and loosely using Butter Bar and a touch of Soft Apricot.
I gold heat embossed several images from Busy As A, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I adhered them to my inked cardstock, and stamped the bee trails and sentiment in Black.
To finish the card off, I adhered my panel to a kraft card base with a strip of black, and topped it off with some Sunshine sequins.
If you’re like me and are intimidated by stencils, I encourage you to pull out your own – they really can add such a nice touch to a card!
Thanks for stopping in and God bless!
