Birthday Cake Layering

Kelly Rasmussen

Hey everyone! Today I'm using the Coloring Layering Birthday Cake clear stamp set to create a yummy birthday card.

I started out by stamping the different layers of cake. I used Cup O' Joe ink for the chocolate cake and Cotton Candy ink for the pink frosting. Then I used Mint Julep and Tide Pool for the candle base and Tangerine and Dandelion inks for the candle flame. With the help of the Misti tool, these stamps were a breeze to line up!

Next, I used Black ink to stamp the sentiment. Once all the ink was completely dry on the cake, I white heat embossed the sprinkles. Then I mounted this stamped panel onto a piece of Peony cardstock.

For the background, I die cut the Papel Picado Confetti Die from Paradise cardstock. I think this die has a party feel to it which makes it a great background for a birthday card!

And finally all the pieces of the card were assembled onto a Dove White Top Folded Card.

A cute and simple birthday card that would be easy to mass produce and keep on hand for when those special days sneak up on you.

Hope you have a great day!
