Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons. Let's get started!
Hey friends! Debi Adams here and am always happy to be celebrating another My Monthly Hero Kit and add-on launch. September is one of my favorite times of the year. Warm days, cool nights, touches of summer but glimmers of fall too. And all the autumn festivities make it that much more fun. So today I’m hinting at a little bit of Halloween with two great new add-ons. Pure Magic and the Cabinet Door Fancy Die are perfect go-togethers, stamp and die sets. I created two cards. One is without the Cabinet Door and one is with it.
So let me be a bit transparent here. When I received the Pure Magic set, I knew exactly what I wanted to create! Whoo hoo! Half the battle, right? Well, with the Cabinet Door Fancy Die, I failed to read the name first, just looked at the die and kinda let my imagination go somewhere. I think I get far too excited! Certain I would have failed my art exam. Lol. (See my blog for the other interpretations.) :) However, the minute I finally read the name, I realized what I needed to do and that my friends, is how the cabinet card came to be.
Instructions
1. Draw three light pencil lines onto a piece of 4” x 5 1/4” Dove White cardstock. (Mine was 1 5/8” from top, 1 7/8” from that line and then another 1 7/8” down from there, but you can figure yours differently).
2. Stamp a variety of bottles and the candle onto the different “shelves” using Intense Black ink, leaving a space for “books”.
3. Cut small strips of Cranberry, Kiwi and Canary cardstock. Stamp words onto strips and embellish with lines using a thin black pen. Adhere books to shelves.
4. Color in bottles and candles using markers.
5. Cut small strips of Pitch Black cardstock (less than 1/4”) to make shelves.
6. Adhere to area underneath bottles. Trim if necessary.
7. Die-cut two spider webs from cardstock, one in black, the other in white. Adhere together and attach to base.
8. Die-cut a small circle using the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies.
9. Stamp sentiment onto circle using Unicorn White Ink.
10. Attach circle to panel using foam dots.
11. Attach entire bookcase to a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” top folded card base.

Happy stamping!
I wanted to follow your measurements for the shelves but unless my math is incorrect 1 5/8 + 1 7/8 + 1 7/8 = 5 3/8 which is taller than the cardstock you said you cut (5 1/4). Confusing…
These are amazing!
