Today we're delighted to have Creative Team member Jayne Nelson here to share some fabulous "beyond the kit" ideas for a few of the add-ons.
Hi, I’m excited to share a pair of cards featuring my favorite add-on products—the Folk Winter Animals Bundle, the Color Layering Folk Winter Animals Stencils set, and the Starry Moon Bold Prints background stamp. These beautiful stamps, stencils, and dies can be used together or separately to create striking cards for all occasions.
For my first card, I started by stamping the Starry Moon Bold Prints stamp onto Dove White cardstock with Passion Flower ink. To ensure complete ink coverage, I stamped the background several times. I trimmed the stamped panel with a Nesting Rectangle Infinity Die and then secured the panel to a Passion Flower card base with foam tape.
Next, using the Color Layering Folk Winter Animals Stencils set and a few blending brushes, I layered Passion Flower, Grape Slush, and Nautical nks over the stencils to create a fox and a few flowers. Before cutting around each image with it's matching die, I stamped over each image with the coordinating outline stamp from the Folk Winter Animals Bundle using Intens-ified Black ink. Then, I secured the images to the card with foam tape and Precision Glue. I also embossed a small sentiment from the Fall Fox stamp set with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Pitch Black cardstock. For a final detail, I put a Purple Enamel Dot at the center of each flower.
For my second card, I stamped the Starry Moon Bold Prints onto a trimmed panel of Arctic cardstock with Arctic ink. I also applied some Bermuda ink to the panel’s corners with a blending brush. I secured the background panel to an Arctic card base with foam tape.
This time, I used the Folk Winter Animals Bundle and the Color Layering Folk Winter Animals Stencils to create two deer images. I layered Arctic, Bermuda, and Cherry inks over the stencils and then used the coordinating stamps and dies to stamp over and cut around each deer. I also added an embossed Merry Christmas sentiment on Adriatic cardstock. I finished the card with a Cherry cardstock heart, die cut with a Nesting Hearts Infinity Die, and a trio of Pink Enamel Dots.
