Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons.
Hey all! Happy to be a part of this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit and add-on launch. The very theme of this month’s collection is right up my alley. It’s all about…art! And I love that it’s about all different kinds of art, from abstract to pop-art and everything in between. Today I am showcasing two cards using several designs from the add-ons.
This first card was super quick and easy to make.
To create the background, I embellished Dove White cardstock with a variety of Reactive Inks using Hero Arts Ink Blending Brushes. I then placed the new Picasso Inspired Stencil over the top and inked it up with Intense Black ink.
The sentiment from Creative Quotes was stamped on Dove White cardstock using Intense Black ink and set on top of a Reactive Ink-embellished mat. How simple was that?
My next card incorporated the same background but I used it to create the image of a faux stained glass window.
I used the Brick Wall Bold Prints with Soft Granite ink on a piece of gray cardstock for the background. The stained glass window was cut from the Ballroom Window Fancy Die with the frame only. I then mounted it onto a piece of Sand cardstock and fussy cut the shape out, creating a window frame. After adhering it in place, I die-cut one of the Museum Columns Fancy Dies from Dove White cardstock and applied several shades of gray and beige using Copic markers to the statue to create shadows, depth and aging.
The piece was then attached to the card base using foam dots. The same sentiment that was used on the first card was applied here as well. This card took just a tad more time but I felt it was worth it. My intention was to make it like I was an observer in an art museum.
I have to say, I loved the uniqueness to this month’s collection. There are so many styles of art out there. Happy to see that we can learn about them and then make it our own.
Thanks for stopping in!

The monument dies wouldn’t have appealed to me but seeing what is being done with them, especially by Nicol, I find them very interesting. Love what is in this kit and the add-ons. Thank you.
