Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons. Take it away, Debi...
Hi friends! There’s nothing more exciting than sending love to a special someone on Valentine’s Day or really, any day. I suppose I really like this particular holiday because it’s one of those occasions that’s more about kindness and caring than about gifting and it’s way low on stress. I created both of my cards with the new Bicycle With Basket Fancy Die. I combined them with several other Valentine stamp and die sets and they made for some fun cards that were quick and easy. A few additional decorative parts and pieces complemented the sets and gave them some dimension. I look at these cards as the perfect opportunity to spread sunshine and a little bit of love to others.
This first card is clean, crisp and carefree. It reminds me a little of spring.
To create the background for the card, I cut strips of pink cardstock and adhered them to a piece of 3 3/4” x 5” Snow Layering Paper. I then attached the entire piece to a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” card base. (A2 card)
I hand-cut a piece of green cardstock to fit onto the bottom portion of the card and embellished it with Lime Green Ink using a sponge dauber and then attached it to the card base.
The bicycle was cut from gray cardstock and shaded with Intense Black Ink using a sponge dauber. Some tiny flowers were attached to the basket and wheels and a big heart tied with twine was included in the basket. I adhered it all to the card base using tiny pieces of foam dots.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment “hello” from You Are Loved Flourish Messages in Red Royal Ink onto a piece of Snow Layering Paper, cut it out and attached it to the card using foam dots.
My second card incorporates the Hearts & Flowers Bold Prints stamp for the background.
To make this 4 1/4”x 5 1/2” card, stamp Hearts & Flowers Bold Prints onto entire pink card front using Red Royal Ink and then fill in the small hearts with a light pink marker.
Attach a 2 1/2” x 5 1/2” pink strip of cardstock to front of card then die-cut bicycle from glittered paper. Lay bicycle onto card front and decide where to stamp small hearts. Remove bicycle and stamp hearts using Red Royal Ink.
Add tiny details around hearts using a white pen. Attach bicycle permanently to the card front using foam dots, embellishing basket with small leaves and flowers.
Stamp and emboss sentiment from All My Love Decorative Hearts onto a piece of 3/4’ x 2 1/4” red cardstock using Versamark and white embossing powder. Adhere sentiment onto a piece of slightly larger, red glittered cardstock and attach to card base using foam dots. Finally, accent hearts with red Stickles.
Hoping I left you with a bit of inspiration today. Can’t wait to see you create magic with these stamps and dies!
XO,
Debi

Gorgeous cards Debi, especially the first card. It’s looking indeed if spring can arive every moment. But if I should needed a Valentine card I would surely make the second one. Thank you for sharing these two beauties with the awesome add-ons.
