Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a card featuring the new Autumn Branches Cover Plate and some easy watercoloring.
I started off by using the cover plate to cut a piece of watercolor paper. Next, I used some yellow, olive, and brown watercolor brush markers to quickly and loosely color the leaves and branches, spreading the color with a small wet paint brush.
While the branches were drying, I used painters tape to tape a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of watercolor paper down onto my work surface, masking off just a thin border around the edges. I scribbled a light yellow watercolor marker at the top of the panel and an orange marker at the bottom and then used a flat paint brush and clean clear water to spread and blend the colors over the panel.
When the background panel was dry I stamped the sentiment, from the Color Layering Chipmunk stamp set in Onyx pigment ink. To get the placement right, I positioned the branches panel over the background, off-setting it a bit to the left to leave room for the sentiment. Once the sentiment was dry, I adhered the branches panel, still off-set, and trimmed off the overhanging edge at the left side of the panel.
Next, I created a frame to hide the borders of the off-set panel by cutting a piece of Dove White cardstock with the largest die from the Wood Frames Infinity Dies set. I used foam tape to adhere the frame over the card front and then, to finish, I adhered the card front to a card base.
Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!

This is a simple, but beautiful scene. Depicts the changing of seasons with the subtle yellow, orange and brown tones. Thanks for sharing the description of how you created the fore and back grounds…it’s really inspiring and quite lovely.
The branch with leaves & background are wonderfully colored and great dimension on the framed work piece of art.
