Autumn Ombré + Die Cut Spotlighting

Hello! Today I’m sharing a Fall card that combines three of my favorite products from the 2016 Winter Catalog — one stamp set, one ink pad, and one set of dies — along with a fun technique.

Give Thanks by Tami Hartley for Hero Arts

To get started, stamp the solid layer of the leaves onto white cardstock with Ombré Autumn Ink. Stamp the veins over the top with the darkest color from the ink pad. Stamp the message with the medium shade. Take a moment to appreciate the awesomeness of being able to achieve this look with a single ink pad. :)

Next, select various Circle Infinity Dies (there are 18 sizes to pick from!) and position them over the stamped images as desired. It will look something like this before you run it through the die cut machine…

And a little like Swiss cheese afterward…

Die cut additional circles from chipboard or cardstock and glue them together. Top off these dimensional circles with the stamped leaf circles. Adhere the pieces back in place like a puzzle.

Finish with gold sequins, a patterned paper edge, and some Glossy Accents on the leaf veins. That’s all there is to it! There are many ways you could spin this technique. I thought the circles provided an interesting contrast to the leaves, but for a more “matchy-matchy” look, you could also use the coordinating Color Layering Leaves Frame Cuts. And how about a gold or copper embossed edge on the dimensional circles? This calls for more die cut spotlighting experiments!

I hope you have a wonderful day, thanks so much for stopping by!
