We are excited to bring you the launch of our August My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons! Our Creative Team has been so inspired by these products and we think you will be too! At the end of this post, look for a link to a blog hop that will give you many great ideas for creating your own projects using this month’s kit and add-ons.
The August My Monthly Hero Kit takes you on a celestial journey that you will surely enjoy! The stamp set is chock full of images to create a dreamy scene that takes you to the stars! Coordinating dies and a window frame make this even simpler. Use the moon and star stencil to make a background or choose one of the celestial patterned papers. Sequins and iridescent shimmer mists add just the right amount of sparkle.
This month’s kit contents include:
6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
11 Coordinating Frame Cuts
1 Window Fancy Die
1.5 oz Celestial Sequins
1 Metallic Blueberry Mist (shake well before using)
1 Iridescent Gold Shimmer Mist (shake well before using)
1 5.25″ x 6.5″ Stencil
3 5″ x 7″ Assorted Patterned Celestial Papers
This kit is an amazing deal with so many goodies in it that the value is $77 but the cost to you is $34.99.
We also have many optional add-on products this month — 5 stamp sets, 4 coordinating Frame Cuts sets, a set of Infinity Dies, a Fancy Die, 2 background cling stamps and a woodblock stamp! Whew! We think you will love them all (if you do you can buy them all in a bundle at 11% less than if you bought them individually).
First we have the Astronomical stamp set and coordinating Astronomical Frame Cuts. This set is so versatile with lots of images to choose from and encouraging sentiments.
Next up is the Mewn & Back stamp set and coordinating Mewn & Back Frame Cuts. Cats and dogs in space? Yes please! It simply doesn’t get any more fun than that!
What’s your sign? Our next set is the Zodiac Birthday stamp set. It doesn’t matter which sign the recipient is — we have a stamp and birthday greeting for them!
Next up is the Cloudy Animals stamp set and coordinating Cloudy Animals Frame Cuts. This reminds us of lullabies and baby cards. What do you think you would create it with?
Next up is the Dream Big stamp set and coordinating Dream Big Frame Cuts. The style of this set is like the beautiful children’s books we have seen and read and you can create wonderful scenes or stand alone images with them.
Now onto the background stamps that will work nicely with the kit or add-ons to create the perfect background for any image or scene. The It’s Just a Phase stamp has a clean, graphic feel to it.
The Pretty Moon Spiral Bold Prints stamp gives you a dreamy look that will work with any images.
This month’s Fancy Die is the Milky Way Window Fancy Die. Using this die gives you the perfect focal point for other images and embellishments.
As you make your projects, wouldn’t it be great to have clouds of any size to use for creating your high-in-the-sky scenes? You can with the Nesting Cloudy Infinity Dies. You get eight dies in this set!
Lastly, we have the Dreamship woodblock stamp. Perfect for a journey up in the clouds.
Our Creative Team member, Jayne made a project to share today using the kit and add-ons.
Jayne: As you’ve seen, this month’s kit contains so many beautiful celestial and fantasy images, plus lots of wonderful extras, it was almost impossible to decide what elements to use first. To make my card, I opted to use the kit’s moon and star stencil to cover a square panel of white cardstock. After inking over the stencil with water-based dye inks, I removed the stencil and lightly inked over the entire panel, with the same inks, to shade all of the white space. I used a Circle Infinity die to cut a partial circle from the panel’s upper edge and then inlaid a white circle into the die cut area, securing it to the back with tape. Then, I matted the panel with black cardstock and secured it to a white card base wrapped with a twine bow.
I stamped a variety of images from the kit with black ink, used the kit’s coordinating dies to easily cut around each image, and then secured them to the card with foam tape. I used a blue marker to color the stars and small moon. To finish the card, I added a fun sentiment that I embossed onto a strip of black cardstock. I also added a few of my favorite clear gems for a little bit of shine.
Thank you Jayne for giving us such great ideas.
