August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway
Welcome back to the Countdown to Creativity! The August My Monthly Hero Kit release day is Monday, August 3, at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Now let's join Janette for another wonderful peek at this month's "Staycation" themed kit!
Hello friends! I am absolutely loving the versatility and colorability of this month's kit. Go big with scene building, or crisp and clean with a focal element. I've paired simple ink blending for a beachy vibe with a bit of scene building to create something similar to my own little paradise.
Recreate this dreamy escape by ink blending Indigo, Aegean and Soft Brown inks on 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" Dove White cardstock. Blend blue to teal and fade to white. Bring the brown up from the bottom, also fading softly to white.
Stamp chosen kit images in Intens-ified Black ink and Copic color. Die cut all images. Adhere images flat to blended panel, tucking and overlapping to build scene.
White Detail heat emboss large sentiment onto blended panel and small sentiment onto Pitch Black cardstock. Adhere completed panel with foam tape to folded card base.
*** Win a kit before you can buy it *** Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, August 3rd, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
xo,
Paradise, Bliss and Relaxation…it’s what we all need a little more of right now.
Love this kit. That swing is so inviting. I have some great books to read, and I love to rock or swing while doing so.
I love everything about this card as it reminds me of a lazy summer day at home. Thank you for sharing.
This is such a great stamp set. I’m loving all of these images. I wish I could step into this scene! It’s so cute!
Love the colors used and the stamps so perfect for summer
COOL card, the chair takes me back to the 70’s, we had onde of these, but instead of hanging it had a big round base and you could recline in it!
