Altering a Texture Die
Kelly Rasmussen
The Abstract Graphic Texture Die is gorgeous on its own, but I decided to alter it a bit to create the look of a confetti background on this birthday card.
After cutting the die from Dove White Cardstock, I used a craft knife to cut out various pieces of the die. Then I covered the back with lots of little strips of foam adhesive, making sure to get the tape close to each of the cut-out sections.
Next, I took small strips of colored cardstock and placed them over the openings from the backside of the panel. I used scraps of Paradise, Azalea, and Kiwi Premium Cardstocks. Then I adhered the panel to a card base made from Mustard Cardstock.
For the message, I white heat embossed the word "happy" from the Mix + Match Compliments clear set on Azalea Cardstock. Then I die-cut the circle using the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies and adhered it to my card with foam adhesive. To finish up the sentiment, I stamped the rest of the message on strips of Mustard Cardstock using Intense Black Ink.
And see those cute little clear droplets? They were made with our Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen. A great tool that can be used as an adhesive or an embellishment on your cards!
Have a great day!
Great idea! The color additions make the background have that extra something. Tyfs!
Great bright, modern design!
Gorgeous Kelly and a great idea to use the texture die on this different way.
Thank you so much for your inspiration.
Clever design!!
