Alphabet Die Window Card
Kelly Rasmussen
Unexpected thank you cards are some of the best cards to send. And who better to thank than all those amazing teachers out there! The Alphabet Window Fancy Die makes it a breeze to create this card perfect for any teacher.
I started out by creating a background of color using the new Liquid Watercolors on watercolor paper. I used Strawberry, Dandelion, Moss and Deep Ocean which blended seamlessly to create the rainbow of color.
There are several different ways you can use these liquid watercolors, but for this technique, I simply used the dropper to put several drops of paint in my palette and then used a large paintbrush and some water to swipe the color across the paper. I ended up doing two coats of color to get a more vibrant result.
Once it was dry, I diecut the Alphabet Window Fancy Die from the watercolored panel. Then I spritzed on some Perfect Pearls mixed with water to give the diecut a little shine.
I die cut a circle from a Snow Folded Card using the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies that lined up with Alphabet die to create a window on the front of the card. Then I adhered the diecut piece to the card front.
Finally, I stamped the thank you message from the Thank You Messages set on the inside of the card to line up with the window. I love that this window is small enough to leave plenty of room to still write a message on the inside.
Now I encourage you to go make someone's day and send them an unexpected thank you!

This alphabet die is awesome. I love the possibilities.
Love this! Your watercoloured alphabet is beautiful and just pops against the white. I like how you cut the window out of the card base to match the alphabet die and then stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card.
