Adding Easy Layers
Have you seen the new Paper Layering Desert Cactus and Paper Layering Prickly Cactus dies? Today I'm featuring the Paper Layering Desert Cactus in a scene.
Isn't it a fun way to add an element to a card design? I used the outline die in my design so that I could place it into the window. I love the dimension that it has, don't you?
I teamed it up with Fennec The Fox. I just love his facial expression! The sentiment is from the Stamp Your Own Cactus set.
The background was made using Strawberry and Dandelion Liquid Watercolors. I used the smooshing technique. I did a couple droplets of watercolor and spritzed a bit of water and 'smooshed' my watercolor paper panel on top. I repeated the process until I had the desired effect.
The window panel is from the Midnight Mixed Layering Papers. I then used a Nesting Oval Infinity Die for the window.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I love your background. For many, many summers I went to Ghost Ranch in New Mexico for calligraphy seminars, and this reminds me so much of “Chimney Rock” or “Kitchen Mesa”. Beautiful!

I love cactus cards as much as I love coffee cards. This card is just so cute. Smooshing technique is just the best for creating backgrounds that enhance but don’t take over I think..
