Hi crafting friends! It’s Linda here from A Blog Named Hero, and I’m excited to be introducing our next challenge theme with you.
We’re so happy with this theme, it’s always so fun to find older favourite stamps, and give them a new spin by playing with them, together with some newer stamps, stencils or other crafting goodies!
I decided to take a real old favourite, the Hero Arts Friendship text background (which got a WHOLE lot of love back when I first bought it!), and I used it with the gorgeous Partner collaboration with Gina K - Friendship Blooms. It’s so versatile it’s crazy! You could easily use any of the amazing cling background stamps that Hero Arts has in stock now, to give a similar effect to the text one I used (for example: Love Is Love Bold Prints).
I stamped the text background in a tone on tone effect, using Hero Arts shadow ink on top of Hero Arts Cardstock (love it!). I then coloured the floral image in, with my Prismacolor pencils and I just love the effect they give. I’m still learning to work with these, they’re such different pencils from the others I have. The sentiment is an older one too, but Hero has so many excellent options that would work well in store (like this: Hand Drawn Everyday Messages).
I hope you’ll join us in the challenge, not only because it’s heaps of fun! But also because our beloved Hero Arts have offered up two gift vouchers for two lucky winners to use in their store!
Join us over at the blog, and we can’t wait to see what you make!
Thanks for stopping by!
