Jayne: There are so many beautiful products in the new catalog, I couldn't resist combining several stamp sets and a few dies on a holiday card. To make this card, I started by creating a blocked background with traditional holiday colors. I die cut a total of eight rectangles with a small Rectangle Infinity Die - two each from pine, grass, celadon and punch layering papers. I secured the rectangles to a trimmed piece of white cardstock that I matted with punch layering paper and then secured to a pine card base. I also embossed three snowflakes, from the Color Layering Baby Penguin set, onto two corners of the blocked background.
To create the adorable penguin image, I stamped each of the three layers of the Color Layering Baby Penguin onto a piece of white cardstock with the three inks in the Ink & Emboss Penguin set (Soft Granite, Charcoal, and Black), carefully aligning each stamp over the previously stamped layer. Then, using the first penguin stamp layer, I stamped over the penguin image with VersaMark ink and embossed it with Sparkle embossing powder. I easily cut around the image with the Color Layering Penguin Frame Cuts. Next, I secured the penguin to a vellum snowflake that I die cut with one of the new Snowflake Infinity Dies and then secured the snowflake to the card with foam tape.
I added a draped sentiment banner that I embossed and die cut with stamps and dies from the versatile Christmas Banner Stamp & Cut set. I also stamped and die cut three small doves that I secured to the card below and at each end of the banner. For a few finishing details, I added several clear gemstones and a lengthy, red bow. Have fun hopping!

I am always surprised and pleased to see how wonderful a stamp can be used so well and with such great results. This little guy looks just like he is going to waddle off the card.
