But first, you will love how our Creative Team member, Jayne used one of the new Color Layering stamp and die sets. Take it away, Jayne…

Jayne: I really like investing in stamp sets with images that work equally well on masculine and feminine cards. The wonderful, new Color Layering Sea Turtle set is perfect for making fun and colorful sea-themed cards for everyone.

For my card, I started by stamping seven sea turtles around the edges of a trimmed piece of white cardstock. I used Lime Green, Fresh Lawn, and Forever Green inks from the Fresh Foliage Hue Pack to stamp the different layers of each turtle. Then, using the Color Layering Sea Turtle Frame Cuts, I cut temporary masks from paper masking tape that I positioned over each turtle. Using blue and green water-based, dye inks and a foam blending tool, I fully inked the stamped panel and splattered it with water before removing the masks.

Next, I secured the stamped panel and a narrow strip of white cardstock to a cerulean card base. For fun, I wrapped the folded card edge with some metallic embroidery floss and then threaded the ends with several Ombré Ocean sequins. I stamped a cute sentiment from the new Manatee Stamp & Cut set with Deep Ocean ink onto a small piece of white cardstock. I layered it over several vellum circles that I cut with the Circle Infinity Dies. After securing the sentiment to the card with foam tape, I embellished it with a trio of stamped, hibiscus flowers and three sparkly sequins.

Thank you Jayne!
