Hello, friends! It’s Channin here with a new card and video! Today I create a Victorian Christmas interior scene featuring the new October My Monthly Hero Kit . Watch to see how I color these beautiful images, create a simple blended winter landscape as well as modify the included window die to construct my festive holiday scene!

To create this card I first stamped several images from the October My Monthly Hero Ki t in INTENS-ified Black ink onto Dove White cardstock . I then Copic colored the images and die cut them out with the matching dies.
Next, I partially die an A2 (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) panel of white cardstock with the window die included in the kit, however, I did NOT center the die over the panel. Instead I slid the die up the panel leaving about a 3/4” gap at the bottom and then positioned my top plate over almost the entire die except for the top quarter inch. By positioning the die higher up the panel we add a floor to our scene and by only partially die-cutting the window we make the wall/window look more like an interior one.
Next, I die cut just the top 2 inches of the window die out of a scrap of white cardstock. I then trimmed the banner away from from the rest of the die cut by cutting the connecting tabs. I then stamped a sentiment using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink onto the freed banner and gold heat-embossed it.
Next, I hand cut a slope out of scrap cardstock to create a mask. I then positioned the mask over the front of an A2 top-folding white card base and ink blended with Soft Pool and Pool Shadow Inks to create a sky.
I then adhered the window/wall panel to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I finished my card by adhering the sentiment and images with Precision Glue .
