Hero Kids Crafty Hour: Fancy Colors

It's time for another idea with young makers in mind! Sally came up with a fun way for kids to make colorful creations with our Liquid Watercolors. Take it away, Sally...!

Here’s a great project for young children. My granddaughter is five and she begged to keep doing this. First, spread out newspaper or an old tablecloth. This project is subject to SPILLAGE, so even better if you can do it outside.

First of all spritz your watercolor paper with lots of water. Next, drop little areas of color with Liquid Watercolors. MAGIC happens when two colors blend.

You can also add movement by blowing through a straw or further spritzing with a mister. If the child is too young, put droplets of color in a palette and let them drop with a paintbrush.

Caution, they want to use all your paper. When the papers dry, you can chop them up for making note cards by adding stamping and drawing.

Let us know if you give this a try and show us your creations. Enjoy!
