Floral Hugs

Good morning! Emily here again today with a pretty floral card featuring the new You're Beautiful stamp set from the Summer 2018 Hero Arts catalog! This stamp set has some really cute little sentiments included in it, but it also has an abundance of lovely floral sprigs, perfect for building your own bouquets and wreaths. Let's get started on how I made this project!

To start, I used the Infinity Oval dies to lightly trace an oval shape on my A2 card front. I used that as a guide to stamp my floral images from You're Beautiful to create a pretty wreath. I stamped the images with Intense Black ink, then colored them with Copic markers in shades of lavender and lilac.

For the greeting, I used the absolutely stunning "hugs" die from the March My Monthly Hero kit to create a dimensional die cut. I die cut the word three times from sturdy card stock (the Radiant White would do nicely... nice and thick), then pressed my Versamark pad directly to one of the die cuts and covered it with Brass Embossing Powder. I heated up the embossing powder, let it cool, then repeated the process three more times to create a nice, molten metal look. I adhered all of the die cuts together to create a substantial dimensional die cut, then adhered it to the floral card front.

The final step was to use a super fine black pen to add some little dots and a frame around the edge (using my T-square). Simple and elegant and easy to mail!

Well, that's all from me today! I hope you enjoyed this project. Have a marvelous day!
