Hi, Friends! It's Caly today with creative idea for the May My Monthly Hero Kit! I love this month's crafty theme and had to make a colorful card to share with you.
Hi, Friends! It's Caly today with creative idea for the May My Monthly Hero Kit! I love this month's crafty theme and had to make a colorful card to share with you.
I used the image of the paint tube and stamped it 8 times, spacing it perfectly apart using a stamp positioner and Intense Black ink. On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the image of the paint palette and brush and colored all the images using Copic markers (R17, R39, Y17, YR04, Y02, YG05, G03, B12, B24, V04, V15, BV00, BV11, RV11, R85, C1, C3, C7, E30, E33, E55).
After coloring, I trimmed my panel 1/4" on the sides and 1/8" off the top and bottom. I wanted to add a bold black accent to my card on the sides and thought this was a good way to frame in my layout.
After die-cutting my palette and brush, I adhered the brush to the palette, then adhered both images to the card using foam adhesive for extra dimension. The sentiment is stamped on black cardstock and embossed with white detail embossing powder. To complete the card, the sentiment is also adhered to the card front with foam adhesive.

Cute card Caly… , but to honest…. I dont know if this kit will appeal to the majority of people. It appeals to me as a crafter, but I send cards and make cards for the general public. Not sure this kit will yield cards that will reach the general public’s interest. Kinda disappointed in it. :(

I’ve always wanted to have stamps that relate to card making & crafting. If this sneak peek is anything to go by, then WOW! I have a friend who is a water colour artist & to be able to make a card to give her that shows paint tubes, a palette & brush would be terrific. Caly, I like the way you bordered the card just on the sides in black which sets off the rainbow of colours you’ve used. Super card. Thanks.

Super excited to see what this kit has to offer and just love the colorful paint tubes and palette. I had to take a second look at the palette before I realized you used a white gel pen! I thought it was glossy accents. Beautiful work and an enticing look at what this kit.

I love how colorful this is. It is really nice to see companies do stamps that are “art/craft” related. We all have lots of creative friends that like to receive cards as well. Can hardly wait to see the rest of the collection.

Such a clever card, Caly. You have an eye for detail. You even colored a band on the paint tubes matching the paint coming out of the tubes. Thanks for naming the copics you used.
