Happy Father’s Day
I think many of us agree that masculine cards can be challenging to make. So today I've got a few tips to help you out, along with two cards to share!
With Father's Day soon approaching, I decided to reach for the new [hero_product_link sku="CL948" text="Dapper Dad"] clear stamp set. It's got a great mix of messages and graphics perfect for any male!
I started out with choosing a color combo of grey, blue and orange. These colors happen to be the team colors for my husbands favorite NFL team (Go Bears!), so it will be a great card for my kids to give him on Father's Day.
I also used the [hero_product_link sku="SA074" text="Checkerboard Stencil"] to create a textured grey background. I mixed some Silver Shimmer spray with clear embossing paste and smeared it over the stencil. And I ended up with a shiny texture that you can't help but pet when you're holding the card. ;)
And while I had my supplies out, I created another card very similar to the first with the leftover piece of stenciled background. Too often I'll throw these leftover pieces into a drawer and they never get used again, so it felt good to put it to use!
