Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams returning to share some fabulous die-cutting inspiration. Take it away, Debi...
Hello friends! I’m Debi Adams and I’m happy to be back on the Hero Arts blog especially when we have such amazing designs and products to work with and share. Today I am bringing you two cards that feature Fancy Dies only. My background is in die-cutting, having been in that part of the industry for over 15 years. Getting to do these two cards was like going home.
A birthday card is a main staple in my house. I think I need several every month. Bet you do too! This card is fairly quick and easy to create since the Happy Birthday Cake Fancy Die with the sentiment does everything. I made it into a shaker card by adding acetate behind the words and elevating it onto the card base. Real sprinkles were used for the shaker pieces. The balloons were embellished with Reactive Inks.
For my second card, I chose to mix and match two different sets, the Party Fox Stamp & Cut and the Banner Letterset Fancy Dies. When I initially saw the tiny banner (the sun in this case), I actually thought it was a sun. Lol. However, I do like the the idea of purposing a product in a different way and so I decided to go ahead and make it a sun this time. I used Reactive Inks to soften all of the banner pieces as well as the backdrop for the sun. This card has a main image, background and a sentiment, all the elements needed to complete the piece.

Great add-on items! I especially love the Happy Birthday Cake Fancy Die! Awesome cards! The shaker card with the cake die looks fabulous, and I love the fun colors and dies on the Sweet Wishes card!
