Video: Cute Animals Spinner Card

Jun 17, 2019 Ilina Crouse

Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I have a little interactive card to share with you. I made this card with kids in mind, and having three little ones myself, I know that they love interactive cards and it really adds a little more excitement for them.

For my card today I used the From the Vault Cute Animals stamp set and Frame Cuts, Jungle Bold Prints and the Circle Infinity Dies to create the spinning feature.

Watch the video below to see how this card came together (or you can go to YouTube to watch it in HD)

To make the card start with a piece of Pesto cardstock and stamp the Jungle Bold Prints using Embossing and Watermark ink. Die cut two concentric circles to create the channel for the spinning mechanism (ring). Trim the panel to 3 3/4" x 5" making sure the circle die cut is centered. Using foam adhesive adhere to 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Mustard cardstock. Adhere the center circle using foam adhesive.

Tip:  Make sure you don't apply foam adhesive too close to the circles, so the spinning mechanism has space to move around.

Cut a small piece of foam adhesive and adhere two pennies together. Make sure it fits comfortably in the channel for the mechanism.

Tip:  To make it spin better, apply anti static powder on the mechanism and the channel for it. The more you play, the better it'll start spinning.

Stamp the lion on Dove White cardstock with Intense Black ink, color and die cut. Adhere to the mechanism using foam adhesive. Make sure it spins nicely; if it's not, it is probably is because the foam adhesive is too close to the edges, or the one between the two pennies is too large. Both should be easy to fix.

Stamp sentiments on Pitch Black cardstock using Watermark and Embossing ink and emboss in white. Trim and adhere to card.

Make a top folding note card from Pumpkin cardstock and adhere the panel to it using foam mounting tape. Voila ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you have a creative day!

Hi Dawn, I use Avery Job Ticket Holders, Heavy Gauge Vinyl, 9 × 12 Inches. Usually I can fit in about 15 sheets, depending on the thickness of the card stock

Such a cute card! I love the pouch you use for your paper. I see that is is an Avery product but I can’t tell what the item number is. Can you share the product number for the pouches? Also about how many sheets can you store in the pouch?
