What’s the word, bird?

So, what’s the word, bird? Why Color Layering stamps of course! LOL! Seriously though, if you haven’t heard about the new Color Layering stamps in the Summer Catalog you’re really missing out.

This card using the new Bird and Branch set was super easy to do. First I inked half of the bird in Bubblegum and the other half in NEW Dusty Blue — love this color so much! Then I stamped the second layer in Cornflower, then the third layer in Navy. Here’s a closeup so that you can see it better:

I also have some other cool news to share. Each Color Layering set will have a guide on the package with ideas on how to use the stamps. Here’s the one for the bird:

To finish up the card, I stamped the branch and the leaves. Then I tapped some Cornflower and Bubblegum daubers on a craft sheet and I used a wet brush to pick up the color and make some splatters. I love the look this gives. I added the message, some strips of papers, and pearls — and that was that!

Thanks so much for joining me today! xo
