Watercolored Thanksgiving

Hello! It’s Mariana here today sharing a card that I created using two beautiful sets: Scattering Leaves and Joyful Thanksgiving.

Watercolor backgrounds are always fun, because there is no way you are going to fail creating one! To create this card, I first white-embossed the leaves on watercolor paper, and then, I added all those beautiful colors using three different colors of paint daubers, and water onto a craft sheet. I simply picked up the colors by placing the stamped panel on the watery colors (one color at a time), and letting them dry between each color. The effect is wonderful. Then, I splattered some of the colors with a paintbrush.

I have to point out that, this is the first time I am using a gold thread to create the loops, and it was super fun! :)  I placed an orange vellum strip, and on top, I put a glue dot to create the loops. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Eggshell colored cardstock and then, placed onto the orange strip with foam tape.

At the end, some gold sequins were the perfect final touches. It seems to be a complicated card, but once you have defined the idea… is quite easy to create.

Thank you so much for joining me today!
