When making cards in general, I have always liked to re-use some leftover paper and stamped images to create new cards. Well, this time I created a Holiday Thank You card using some paper scraps and one of my old card designs:
The original card that I created a few years back, was made using decorative tape. For this card I re-used a bunch of paper strips instead of the decorative tape. I had several wide paper strips and I simply stamped them with different large cling backgrounds (Candy Stripes, Hand Drawn Snow Flakes, Dot Moire), and different colors of ink (Emerald Green, Tide Pool, Forever Green, Red Royal.) Then, I trimmed them into thin strips.
After that, I put adhesive on the back of them, and I used them to create a diagonal pattern over a white card stock panel.
Then, I stamped a sentiment (Cheers Messages by Lia stamp set) with Red Royal Ink over the panel, and after that I clear-embossed it . Additionally, I stamped three star images (Joy to the World stamp set) with Red Royal ink onto layering paper (Shallows color), and clear-embossed it as well. I die cut the stars ((Joy to the World Frame Cuts), and I adhered them over the panel with foam tape, and I embellished them with enamel dots. At the end, I adhered the panel onto a Layering Paper card base (Grenadine color).
As you can see, you do not always have to throw away your paper scraps. You can always give them a second chance to be part of one of your creations ;)
Thanks, for joining me today.
