Today I wanted to share a fun little extra we’ve added to the MH101 My Monthly Hero November 2015 kit. As with most stamp sets, the kit comes with a backer card – a piece of cardstock that goes behind the stamps in the packaging. We were inspired by images of terrariums in geometric bowls to include a pattern for creating your own little geo bowl, perfect for “planting” your succulent garden!
The pattern can be used directly – you can create a geo bowl using the backer card itself. Or you can photocopy it onto a paper of your choice. You could even resize it, depending on the copier you are using! Or you could even create a template with it.
It’s easy to use the pattern – it tells you where to cut, where to fold and where to glue. I copied mine onto Midnight black paper, and scored the fold lines using a ruler and scoring tool on a foam mat.
Hero Arts Layering Paper is perfect for using this pattern because it’s white on one side, making it easy to see the pattern you’ve photocopied! Once I scored, the little bowl naturally folded together quite easily. There are even little “G”s on the guide, showing you the pieces that should receive the glue.
Now I have a cute little geo bowl of succulents sitting on my craft desk, and it makes me quite happy. :)
There’s still a few of the MH101 My Monthly Hero November 2015 kits available – grab yours before they sell out!
