‘Tis the season, stampers! Right around this time each year, I start looking for ways to simplify the month ahead. In that spirit, today I’d like to share with you a Christmas card that can be created in 5 minutes! (Ok, maybe 7 minutes if you’re snacking on holiday M&M’s in between steps.) :) This design requires just one ink pad and minimal supplies.
The time-saving trick here is generation stamping. Using only the Emerald Green ink pad, I was able to create an entire forest of Pen & Ink Christmas Trees in varying shades of green. No masking or fussy placement required. Just stamp, stamp, stamp that tree until the ink is almost gone. That’s when you know you’re done.
The sentiment is simple to create as well. Die cut the Fancy Cut Christmas twice from white cardstock and once from red cardstock. Glue the white pieces together, and then the red piece on top, ever so slightly offset from the white layer. This results in a sentiment that has a bit of dimension, not quite as thick as chipboard, yet thick enough to be raised from the card base without the help of foam tape.
I also added a bit of shimmer to the sentiment with the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush marker. Clear sequins finish off the design, although you could leave those off and save even more time. That means more M&M’s and let’s face it, chocolate is a priority. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy holiday stamping!
