Hi everyone! Today we have a very special guest visiting us here on the blog. You may not know his name, but we guarantee you’re familiar with his work. He’s one of our wonderful stamp designers here at Hero Arts! Please welcome to the blog for the very first time, Robin Edano!
Hey everyone! Are you getting into the holiday spirit yet? Well we are at Hero Arts, especially with the DI139 3-D House Fancy Die! They cut out little festive 3-D houses which are really great for any occasion. Put them on your mantel, inside a jar or on a cupcake. It’s up to you! All you have to do is dress these little bad boys up.
It was a lot of fun creating this die. I designed it to fit inside any standard die cutting machine and to easily punch out and assemble, no separate pieces! Just run the die through your favorite die cutting machine, pop your paper out of the die, sharply fold the edges to form the house, secure the edges with a glue stick and pinch them together. The finished 3-D house measures about 1 ¾ inches tall and makes quite an adorable miniature.
On these houses I used patterned paper which really helps give them that charming look. To dress them up a little further I used stamps from the CL885 3-D House Essentials – this set has a nice assortment of window frames, doors and festive little details to add to your house. The white embossing powder works great as snow, I used it on a roof and on the edges.
These are so fun to make. Add a flickering fairy light in your little house along with a strip of cotton onto the chimney and watch it come to life. It will literally look like there are tiny people living in them!
