TIP: I get the best results when I hold the stamps in one hand, rubber side up. I hold the ink pad in my other hand and pat the ink onto the rubber.
Since the background images are so petite, I went with a skinny card at 3 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches tall. My card stock base is Midnight Mixed Layering Paper. I wanted to include a pop of color so I used the Stamp Your Own Fruit set. I stamped the pear on watercolor paper with Chalkboard Dye Ink. I love that it is waterproof! I used my Zig Clean Color Markers on the image.
To add a bit of interest, I added a strip of Sunshine Mixed Layering Paper to the Midnight Mixed Layering Paper. As always, I had to add a bit of zing to the design with a strip of gold glitter cardstock.
I love designing skinny cards because the designs can easily spill over the edge and still fit into the A2 envelope!
Thanks so much for stoppin’ by!
