Ombre Birthday Fun!

Hi Everyone! I am here today to show you a really quick idea with our new ombre ink pads. The pads have three similar shades of one color to blend together for the popular ombre look.

For my card, I chose the large, mostly solid Birthday Blackboard stamp to really let the ombre shine! I stamped it with the Ombre Pink to Red pad two times – top and bottom – to achieve this blended monotone look. I think stamping them on crisp white really enhances the color.

I made a slit on both sides to accommodate a pale pink ribbon and then tied a bow. Of course no card is complete with some sparkle, so I added a giant gem! You could make lots of these cards in minutes in all the various new shades we have. Then when you are ready to send it, add an appropriate gem, charm or tag for the person that is lucky enough to be receiving it!

But wait, when I was all finished I got ANOTHER idea…(what a surprise!). I inked the stamp again, after cleaning it of course, with the Ombre Butter to Orange, only this time I turned the pad the long way. After trimming the white off, I found a golden yellow to mount it on in my vast stash of papers. Next for the icing on the cake, pun intended, I die cut the platter and cake from Birthday Stamp & Cut out of various colors, added pearls and gems, for a completely different look.
