Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

Hi everyone! I’m Sandy Allnock, and I’m excited to share a card made with some awesome fundraiser stamps for Operation Write Home! All of us at OWH are always excited to see what Hero Arts comes up with to help our heroes keep in touch with home – and the Baby Animals and Butterfly and Flower Stamp & Cut sets are just so much fun!

A little about OWH, if you aren’t familiar with us: we send blank handmade cards to deployed service members so they can write home to their families. Lots of you participate, I know, and we’re so grateful! Over 3 million cards have been deployed overseas – and many of them with Hero Arts images and sentiments decorating them! Feel free to visit our welcome page for answers to all your basic questions.

For my card, I wanted a kaleidoscope of butterflies – that’s what you call a group of these pretty creatures!I stamped all the little butterflies using the little heart in the Butterfly and Flower set, can you believe it! So much fun.

And since a kaleidoscope is full of color, I wanted a ton of them on my card, so I pulled out lots of inks – Green Hills, Butter Bar, Orange Soda, Bubble Gum Pink, Punch, Iris, Pool, and Tide Pool. If you’d like to see a video showing how I did it, check out OWHtv HERE.
