Some of the things that I like to make in advance for the Holidays are my Christmas cards. I am not a good planner, but my cards are just one of the few things I like to have ready to mail out on time. It helps a lot to decide ahead of time, the design or designs that you are going to use, so you can have the supplies ready to work with them. :) Something that you have to keep in mind is that if you are making lots of cards, your design shouldn’t be so complicated in order to advance faster, with the minimum amount of mistakes. :)
First, I stamped the Branches Bold Prints onto a Grenadine card base with Red Royal Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. Then, I created a cluster of branches, berries and pinecones, using Lime to Forever Ombré Ink, Red Royal and Cup O'Joe Mid-Tone Shadow inks over a Eggshell Layering Paper rectangle. To avoid overlapping the images, I used sticky notes to mask the images.
After that, I heat-embossed the sentiment and panel edge with Brass Embossing Powder. I have to point out that this new embossing powder is quite pretty. :) At the end, I adhered the panel onto the card base, and I put golden glitter, Glossy Accents, a few red gemstones, and some sequins.
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you all have a wonderful week planning and making Holiday cards!
