Hello and welcome! Today we are hopping with our friends from A Blog Named Hero, and we hope you’ll join us! If you’ve never visited A Blog Named Hero, you really should! They typically run two fun challenges each month, but they are spending the month of November inspiring us with beautiful creations featuring our products. We are honored to have them sharing the Hero Arts love! They have a drawing running all month long for two gift certificates to the Hero Arts store, too. Today, their design team has joined forces with ours to feature products from the 2015 Holiday Collection. You will find the list of hoppers at the bottom of this post, as well as information about entering our giveaway! But first, our lovely and talented Jayne has a gorgeous card to share with you today. Take it away, Jayne!

Hello and Happy Holidays! I think that this is the happiest time of the year to make cards! So, I was super excited to make a festive card using the CL889 Holiday Pine Branches stamp set. There are so many beautiful foliage stamps in this set to choose from, I could almost smell the pine needles!

I decided that I wanted to create a wreath as the focal point of my design, so I started by stamping a collection of both pine branches and holly leaves using two of my favorite ombre ink pads, AF310 Ombré Mint Julep to Emerald Green and AF320 Ombré Lime to Forever Green. I absolutely adore how easy it is to create shaded images with these amazing inks! I also stamped a few holly berries with AF233 Pale Tomato Mid-tone Shadow Ink ink. To create the wreath, I started by die-cutting each image with the DI147 Pine Branch Frame Cuts. I adhered the layered elements around a vellum circle with adhesive dots. Then, I white embossed a beautiful script sentiment from the DC168 Winter Cheer Tag Set by Lia onto a strip of cardstock that I had swiped with AF233 Pale Tomato Mid-tone Shadow Ink ink.

I decided that I wanted to layer the wreath over a subtle, watercolor background. So, to add some extra interest to the design, I covered one side of the SA065 Star Snowflake Stencil with distress ink, sprayed it with water, and then pressed it firmly onto a piece of trimmed, watercolor paper. When the image dried, I adhered the wreath to the panel, punched a hole through both the vellum and watercolor paper, and tied a red twine bow around the wreath.

To finish the card, I matted the watercolor background on a piece of red layering paper with foam adhesive, and lastly, adhered the panel to a white card base. Maybe I should add a few pearls too?

Thank you Jayne! Now before we send you on your merry way, we want to tell you that we knew this hop was coming, so we stashed away a few of the November 2015 My Monthly Hero kits to giveaway to three lucky readers of this hop! The winners will be randomly chosen from all of the blog hop comments, across all blogs, received by 11:59pm PST on Sunday, November 22nd.
