Fruity Thanks

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a thank you card using the new Stamp Your Own Fruit set. My daughter is a teacher and always needs thank you cards for gifts and goodies that her students give her throughout the year. This set features several different types of fruit—some with punny sentiments—but I thought that apples were appropriate for a teacher thank you card.

The apples were colored and fussy cut. I wanted to create an abstract background – Hero Arts ink daubers to the rescue! I dabbed the Graph Background with a Butter Cup dauber and stamped it onto a watercolor card that was sprayed lightly with water. I was pleased with how it turned out! I chose an older background stamp from my stash to use for this technique, but there are many it would look great with. Next I want to try Lines Background and Triangle Background!

And a heads up that tonight is the deadline to enter the Nature Challenge! Five winners will be awarded a $30 Hero Arts Online Store shopping spree. Hope to see you in the gallery!

Happy crafting!
